Applications Now Open: 2026 Cornea Research Foundation of America Research Grants
For nearly four decades, the Cornea Research Foundation of America has advanced sight-saving innovation by supporting research that improves the diagnosis, treatment, and understanding of corneal disease. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and supporters, we are pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for 2026 CRFA Research Grants.
Research Grants up to $10,000 each support promising projects that have the potential to improve patient outcomes and advance the field of corneal and anterior segment care.
We welcome proposals from investigators pursuing innovative approaches in areas including:
- Corneal transplantation
- Endothelial disease
- Keratoconus and corneal ectasia
- Corneal cross-linking
- Ocular surface disease
- Novel diagnostics, therapeutics, and surgical techniques to improve patient care and outcomes
Since its founding, CRFA has helped advance the field through studies focused on improving corneal transplantation outcomes, developing new treatment approaches, optimizing postoperative care, and exploring emerging technologies that may shape the future of corneal medicine. We are excited to expand this reach nationally to support innovation so that all who look may see.®
We are deeply grateful to the donors whose support makes this program possible. Every grant awarded represents an investment in better treatments, improved vision, and hope for patients facing sight-threatening corneal disease.
