Price Vision Group's Corneal and Refractive Surgery Fellowship
Description: Since 1990, the Cornea Research Foundation of America has contributed to the education of new corneal surgeons in conjunction with a fellowship program offered by Francis W. Price Jr., MD and the Price Vision Group. This is a unique cornea and anterior segment fellowship that combines complicated anterior segment procedures and refractive surgery.
Upon completion of the program, it is expected that the fellow will be a well-rounded, confident and resourceful ophthalmologist who is able to manage the most challenging anterior segment cases.
This is a unique cornea and anterior segment fellowship combining complicated anterior segment procedures and refractive surgery. Refractive surgeries include WaveLight® FS200 procedures, Intacs™, phakic intraocular lenses, as well as LASIK and PRK. Our corneal transplants are among the most advanced in the country including the most recent techniques of endothelial keratoplasty with Descemet’s stripping, anterior lamellar keratoplasty, keratoprosthesis, WaveLight® FS200 penetrating keratoplasty, and a variety of research studies related to corneal transplantation. Complicated anterior segment surgeries include artificial iris implantation, intraocular lens exchange utilizing pars plana vitrectomy, and scleral- and iris-fixated posterior chamber lenses. Glaucoma surgeries include use of setons and non-penetrating techniques.
