The Dr. David C. Huse Educational Travel Grant provides travel funding to a cornea fellow to present their research project at a major eye meeting each year with the intent to spread knowledge in medical advancements to providers in the ophthalmologic community. Recipents are hand-selected based on merit and presentation content relevant to their training.

About David C. Huse, D.V.M.
Dr. Huse graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Veterinary Medicine and subsequently received an M.S. with a specialty in Small Animal Surgery from the University of Illinois. He served as faculty at the School of Veterinary Medicine at Purdue University.  His personal experience with keratoconus and corneal transplants provided the Foundation with an insider’s view of this disease as a long time valued Cornea Research Foundation of America Board Member. Dr. Huse 's empathetic outlook towards others facing the same circumstances as well as commitment to helping others made him an invaluable asset to our team.
